www.rvlove.com“
I was so energized when Julie and Marc reached out after I announced that my websites were moving to this new rv-phd.com site. There are wonderful people in the RV world, and I have been blessed with many great friendships and acquaintances over the years. That’s why we’re here: to make the RVing experience better.
As you can see around you in this virtual landscape, we now have the building blocks for basically anything we want to do in the future, thanks to our web designer extraordinaire, Michelle Fontaine. You may have seen her handiwork on other sites from our partners, including RVing Today TV, New England RV Dealer’s Association/RVing in New England, and more.
So, what is coming down the pike?
As you may know, training and education are my foremost priorities. I just returned from a three-week RV trip to the Hershey RV show and Elkhart, Indiana, for RV Open House week. While I don’t get to RV as much as I used to, I do enjoy getting out there when I can. I got to interact with RVers and industry folks alike, and there has never been more of a need of recreational education services as there is now. As an RVer, there are things I want to see in the industry, like improved QC and further R&D on RV design and construction as well as integrating modern technology into our moving mansions. As an industry member, I want to see the continued emphasis on recruiting, training, and keeping professional RV technicians, improvements in parts systems and repair event cycle times, improved quality control and reduced warranty costs, and a better RVing experience for or clients.
To help accomplish these goals, I continue to teach RV technicians in Pennsylvania and elsewhere, as part of the RV Technical Institute’s RV technician certification program and the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association’s education program, teaching consumer seminars across North America at RV shows and events, and editorial with our partners and right here on this site.
Further, we are planning on developing consumer education courses to help consumers, both new and experienced, with skills and knowledge that can help them in their journeys across America.
All of this, and perhaps more (hint-hint) are done by experts in the field.
No. AI. Content. Period.
And, while we may review products, do installs, test RVs, and even dip into lifestyle topics from time to time, everything we do is done in an unbiased, journalistically correct format. We’ll give you pros and cons to anything we test. And just like in Trailer Life and MotorHome magazines before, if any editorial content is provided by or supported by a manufacturer or supplier, it will be well marked as Sponsored Content. If a supplier provides a product for a test or installation, it will be noted; however, we go out and find RVs to do the installs on, not just the two I have or other associates have, and so to be clear, if there’s something we find that we don’t like about a product, we’ll point it out. Nothing is perfect, and most manufacturers are interested in knowing if something can be improved with their product.
The RV-PHD podcast will return and appear on our new YouTube and social media video channels. We may even have another surprise or two 😉
If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or comments, please feel free to reach out at editorial@rv-phd.com.
Thanks for joining our little campfire. Happy Autumn and Travel Well!
