Chris Dougherty and Randy Murray are taking your questions!
In what is a whole new concept for the RV space, well-known “RV-Lifers”, educators, and master RV techs Chris Dougherty of the RV-PHD.com and Randy Murray of Pete’s RV Centers, are beginning a new audio-only podcast called Talkin’ RVs. The show is modeled after the famous NPR radio show “Car Talk”. During the twice-monthly show, Dougherty and Murray (sounds like a variety show from the 1930s) will talk about RV tech topics and take questions from RVers everywhere via their website’s SpeakPipe interface or fill-in form.
“The whole idea is to have something fun, and maybe teach somebody something that will make their RV life better.” Says Murray, a Vermont native who is the director of orientation and service for the Pete’s RV group of dealerships.
“Yeah, that!” says Dougherty. “All joking aside, we want to offer a solid option for people to have an enjoyable “radio” show while on the road or anywhere, where they can learn something about their RVs, and maybe have a laugh or two.” There will be guest appearances on their show by the likes of the rich and famous and others like product managers, techs, experts, minstrels, tiki-bar dancers, feline impersonators, and fellow road warriors.
The first episodes will be an hour in length. The shows will be recorded at the Interplanetary Waste Treatment Facility in front of a live bacteria audience, and will be released every Saturday morning on iHeart Podcasts, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Once the first podcast is uploaded, Talkin’ RVs will be available via their respective apps for mobile listening.
If you’re interested in participating in the show in any way, you can offer comments and questions at www.talkinrvs.com.
The first episode will air on Saturday November 2, 2024, providing the computer gods cooperate, and the cats don’t walk on the keyboard!
